Nodusfall was revealed during gamescom in August 2026. The first wave of developer briefings established PC, free-to-play access, character unlocks through play instead of random draws, solo support, co-op PvE as the core mode, and plans for PvP/PvPvE. No release date or public beta schedule has been announced.
This timeline records changes to the public Nodusfall record, not every article that repeats them. Each entry states what became known, the source type, and which guides changed. Rumors, copied countdowns, and unsourced database values do not become timeline events.
30 August 2026 — solo, modes, platforms, and economy expanded
What changed: Nodusfall Guide incorporated GAME Watch’s development-team briefing and the latest named hands-on coverage. Solo play is now recorded as confirmed through the briefing. Cooperative PvE remains the main focus, while PvP and PvPvE are planned. PC is confirmed; other platforms and beta details remain unannounced. The free-to-play and no-random-character-draw direction received dedicated answer pages.
Pages updated: combat and co-op, release date and platforms, solo and multiplayer, PvP/PvPvE, gacha and monetization, and characters.
Evidence: Development-team statements recorded by GAME Watch, direct developer quotation published by PC Gamer, and named hands-on reporting.
28 August 2026 — deeper combat hands-on published
What changed: PC Gamer published an extended hands-on account of the gamescom build. It described contracts for solo adventurers and groups, a four-player hub setup, distinct character mechanics, a role-based party, the tank’s charged clash interaction, selectable Ultimates, a large transformation, and multi-stage boss fights.
Why it matters: The report separated Nodusfall’s combat identity from a simple “Soulslike” comparison. It supplied enough mechanical context to build a version-scoped combat overview while still avoiding launch balance claims.
Pages affected: combat and co-op, characters, weapons, and skills.
27 August 2026 — GAME Watch briefing adds major status facts
What changed: After a controlled demo, GAME Watch reported information supplied by the development team. PC was confirmed, other platforms and beta information remained pending, the game was described as free-to-play with item purchases, characters were said to unlock through continued play rather than gacha, and cosmetic items were under consideration.
The same briefing said the game can be played solo even though some role division and coordinated enjoyment are lost, placed co-op PvE at the center, and stated that PvP and PvPvE content are planned.
Why it matters: These are direct answers to several of the most common player questions. They are stronger than conclusions drawn only from trailers, but they remain recorded through a named publication rather than a standalone official FAQ.
26 August 2026 — free-to-play and character acquisition clarified
What changed: PC Gamer published a direct developer quotation: Nodusfall is intended as a free-to-play, long-term game; characters will not be obtained through random draws; the team hopes players unlock that core experience through continued play; and cosmetic monetization is an important avenue under consideration.
Why it matters: The statement distinguishes Nodusfall from a traditional character-banner gacha model. It does not explain weapon acquisition, cosmetic randomization, passes, currencies, or the complete economy, so the site uses the precise phrase “no announced character gacha.”
25–26 August 2026 — official reveal and first media
What changed: HoYoverse revealed Nodusfall during gamescom Opening Night Live and published the official Nodusfall site and reveal trailer. The official material introduced a mythic dark-fantasy world, Weavers, Dreadnodi, remnant divinity, large creatures, cooperative action, and an in-development Unreal Engine 5 presentation.
Why it matters: This established the game and its first-party vocabulary. It did not announce a release date, launch window, full platform list, public beta schedule, system requirements, or named final roster.

How this timeline will update
An entry needs a traceable change: an official post, official video, publisher-linked store page, direct developer statement, or a named hands-on record with new observations. Announcement date and event date remain separate. If a plan changes, the old state stays visible with a correction instead of disappearing.
Repetitions are not new events. Ten sites repeating one statement still point back to the same evidence. Rumors may enter an internal watch list, but they do not receive a confirmed timeline entry.
