Nodusfall Mounts, Contracts and the Hunt Loop

Follow the Gamescom press-demo hunt from preparation and contract selection through summoned mount travel, pursuit and a staged encounter.

Quick Answer

Inven's controlled demo moved from a contract to a new region, summoned a beast-like mount, followed a guidance trail, fought a target, then pursued it after it fled. This is one press-build sequence, not a fixed rule for every launch hunt.

The mount matters because it connected contract selection to encounter travel in the Gamescom demonstration. It does not establish a named mount roster, flying, mounted combat, a seamless open world or final reward rules. This guide reconstructs one documented session so you can understand the reported player journey without mistaking it for a launch walkthrough.

What was the six-step demo hunt?

The expandable steps below stay in the initial HTML. They describe what Inven Global actually reported; additional hub context comes from PC Gamer’s hands-on.

  1. Prepare at a hub. Reporters described a town or hub used before a mission. We do not know every service it will offer at launch.
  2. Accept a contract. Inven’s four-player group took a target-specific contract. That does not prove all activity types use contracts.
  3. Enter a region. The party was placed in an area for the assignment. The public record does not establish whether regions connect seamlessly.
  4. Summon and travel. The group called beast-like mounts and followed a visible guidance trail. The report did not publish mount stats, customization or a final control scheme.
  5. Engage the target. The observed target was a winged creature; the encounter required sustained co-operative pressure. See boss evidence for naming and mechanics.
  6. Pursue and re-engage. Inven says the wounded target fled and the party followed it for another fight. Do not generalize that escape pattern to every boss.
Read the key boundary for the whole flow

This sequence is a reporter's Gamescom appointment. Contract selection, navigation aids, pursuit phases, reward delivery and return-to-hub behavior may differ in other activities or a public build. The six steps are a reading aid, not a promised final quest template.

Are the mount and Divine transformation the same thing?

No. The report separately describes travel on a summoned beast-like mount and a Divine skill that temporarily changed the writer’s character into a beast-form combat state. A transport mount is not automatically a playable character, a summonable pet, or the name of a boss. The skills guide covers reported combat transformations; this page follows travel and pursuit.

Inven did not identify a stable final mount name, speed, stamina, rarity, upgrade path or whether a player can attack while mounted. The illustrative image above should not be used to infer any of those.

What does the hub prove—and what remains open?

Recorded in event coverage Still not established
A preparation area or town before the assignment Full city services, social systems or housing
A chosen monster contract in one session Every launch activity being contract-based
Region entry and a guidance trail Seamless open world or final map structure
Mount travel and a fleeing target Flying, breeding, pets or universal pursuit phases

The combat guide covers role decisions and damage windows inside the fight. For a different task, the progression guide separates confirmed unlock plans from reward-table unknowns.

Hunt FAQ

Does every boss run away?

No. One Inven demo target fled and was pursued. Other reports describe different staged encounters.

Can I fight while riding?

No reviewed source establishes mounted attacks or a final riding control map. Do not assume them from promotional imagery.

Is Nodusfall an open-world game?

The observed region and travel sequence do not settle its final world structure. See what kind of game Nodusfall is for the broader genre evidence.

Bottom line

The Nodusfall mount-and-hunt record currently supports contract → region travel → target → pursuit for a controlled press demo. Use it to understand the sample flow, then follow bosses for encounter-specific details rather than inventing a universal quest loop.
